I want to prove to you that my GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE system’s record of an 80% win rate is not just smoke and mirrors! Upon purchasing a membership when they become available to you will gain access to my picks for all regular season NFL games as well as NHL picks from hockey insider Dave Frost. All this starts the week of December. 11. 2008!

For hockeygodonline,

I’m Jeremy Frost.

GOLD: Green Bay (-1.5) @ Jacksonville
-Jacksonville QB David Garrard is simply awful this year. His inability to get on the same page as his receivers combined with the fact that the Packers are still in the wild card hunt are evidence that this will be a one sided affair in favour of the Pack!
PICK: Green Bay Packers

SILVER: New Orleans @ Chicago (-3.0)
-The Saints may be impressive from time to time in the confines of their own dome, but I don’t like them in the windy city as they tend to play poorly in cold climates.
PICK: Chicago Bears

BRONZE: Minnesota @ Arizona (-3.5)
-Arizona will have no issue beating the spread against a lacklustre Vikings D. I have no doubt Peterson runs for 100+ yards but the high flying offence of the Cardinals prevails in this one.
PICK: Arizona Cardinals

UPSET: Tennessee (-3.5) @ Houston
-I hope everyone has come to grips with the fact that the Titans are not at all what they look like in the standings. Over rated versus under rated. Under rated wins.
PICK: Houston Texans

Canucks Should Hope Sundin Goes to NY!

December 10th, 2008

The Vancouver Canucks seem hell bent on waiting for Mats Sundin to make up his mind on their two year 20 million dollar contract offered this past summer.

Sundin, it appears is ready to finally make a decision after skating in California the past few weeks. As I said in my blog on the super Swede a few days back the Canucks would be much better off if the Rangers are the team Sundin chooses. Allowing the Canucks management to go out and grab another front line player that is not on the verge of retirement and wants to continue his career.

Th Canucks offer although the largest in terms of money and term will likely turn out to be Sundin’s second choice after New York. With former Canuck captain Marcus Naslund playing with the Rangers it seems Sundin has chosen to go play with his friend and former Swedish teammate.

If New York is the destination that Sundin settles on after months of waiting and speculation. Then the  Rangers unlike the Canucks will have to clear salary to get him in. If as reports say that forces the Rangers into dealing one of their big time contracts like Scott Gomez or Chris Drury, I would if I were GM Mike Gillis be all over either of those two before Sundin. Gomez has won Stanley Cups in New Jersey and is a great set up man. Drury is a great leader,North American star forward that would fit very nicely between the two Sedin’s.

Marian Gaborik is also looking to get out of the Minnesota Wild defensive grips and reports are he would love to land in Vancouver. The Canucks would have the salary cap room for Gaborik and he would be an excellent addition, much better than adding an aging Sundin. As I stated in previous articles this was a great attempt back in the summer at a splash by Gillis for Sundin. But now with the team playing so well and a real shot at winning the division, it’s time for Gillis to get real and make the moves that help the team now and in the future, but especially in the playoffs. Gaborik , Gomez, and Drury, those types of players are the perfect fit for the Canucks.

The job that Gillis has done bringing in a strong work man like attitude and do any thing to make the team better, has reflected on down to the players.  They never seem to give up and have played strong even without league best number one goalie Roberto Luongo. Luongo, when healthy with a few additions could make the Canucks a very tough team to beat in the playoffs. But these next moves for Gillis’s Canucks are critical to say the least. It’s all nice to land the big fish splashy name and former Leafs captain, but its entirely different to have the balls to go out and get what is needed for right now and in the future.

The Canucks will face some very tough decision’s in the coming weeks to months and those choices will shape the franchise for this playoff run and the many to hopefully follow. With Luongo in the net, the right amount of grit and speed in their line-up the Canucks have become a legit Stanley Cup contender .

Now the rest is up to Gillis and his management team to make the next moves, and of course the players!
